Some Picnic!

A bride and groom, Haley Stein and George Andrews, pose in front of a white fence in Horse Barn Hill on a sunny day. They pose excitedly and look at each other with energetic expressions. They are both holding custom newspaper with articles about their relationship, with big headline that read: "Breaking! Haley & George"

Horsebarn Hill “felt like the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful moment,” says Stein of her vows with Andrews.

George Andrews ’19 (ENG) and Haley Stein ’20 (SFA) held an intimate Jewish ceremony at Horsebarn Hill’s picnic area to celebrate their marriage on a beautiful day last August. Having met each other at UConn through Greek life and mutual friends, the two remained friendly for years until they started dating their senior year — and you know what they say about the rest. The two now live in the Charleston area of South Carolina, where George, a biomedical engineer, serves as director of operations for Phiex Technologies and Haley freelances as a graphic designer, primarily working with Color Wow. Maple, their goldendoodle pup who stood up as flower girl for their big day, keeps them happily occupied.
